Bio
Hi there! I'm so excited to help you understand math more! As a kid, I struggled with math and felt so frustrated trying to understand it. As I got older and it all started to click for me because of some amazing teachers I had, I decided that I wanted to become a math teacher too, so that I could help make math easier and more enjoyable for my students! To get to know me more.. I grew up in New Hampshire but now live in Michigan with my husband, 1 year old son, and two kitties, Dot and Domino. When I'm not having fun tutoring, I love going on walks with my husband, reading, painting, playing/watching sports, and playing board games. I'd love to work with you and help you understand and even enjoy math! :)
Teacher Specialization
My degree is in Secondary Math Education, and I'm certified to teach 5th through 12th grade math! I have tutored grades 1 through 9 for three years, and I also taught 8th grade math full-time for three years. I love elementary and middle school math because I really believe it is practical and can apply to your everyday life!
