Bio
Hello, I'm Miss Allie! I am a certified teacher in Florida with nine years of experience in elementary education, mainly working with students with disabilities. I have a love for ALL things elementary, from pre-K to 5th grade. If I had to pick a specialty I would say phonics and reading fluency-but reading comprehension, science, math, and social studies are awesome, too! I am committed to providing quality, standards-based instruction that is tailored to fit YOUR needs. As I always say, if students can't learn the way we teach, we should teach the way we learn. When I'm not tutoring, I'm usually bottle-feeding puppies and kittens or visiting Disney World with my friends.
Teacher Specialization
In 2017 I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I later went on to obtain two masters degrees, one in Elementary Education and one in Exceptional Student Education. Over the course of my nine years working in traditional public schools, I worked in ESE Pre-K, ESE inclusion, and ESE separate class. My credentials and my experience have given me a vast amount of knowledge about working with students with and without disabilities and their families. In addition, I have been working part-time in an after-school tutoring center for almost a year. I have a particular passion for working with students one-on-one and in small groups to help them improve their skills.
