Bio
Learning should feel meaningful, exciting, and achievable! I believe students learn best when they feel safe, confident, and supported enough to ask questions, take risks, and grow. My approach is to meet students where they are—discovering their strengths, needs, and learning style so I can adapt my teaching to them, not expect them to fit a certain mold. My goal is for students to grow not only in their academic skills, but also in the confidence to participate, ask questions, and express their own ideas. I want students to develop their voice, support their thinking with evidence, and feel confident enough to try—even when learning feels challenging. Most importantly, I value relationships. I strive to make every student feel seen, valued, and supported, and I continue rooting for them long after our time together. Outside of teaching, I’m a mom of three who loves writing, documentaries, concerts, and the performing arts!
Teacher Specialization
I specialize in supporting students in grades 2–12 across a wide range of learning needs and ability levels. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, a teaching certificate, a Master’s degree in Language Arts, and an Education Specialist degree in Advanced Educational Studies. My experience includes teaching gifted and advanced learners, as well as supporting students with IEPs, ADHD, and emotional or behavioral needs. I tailor instruction to each student’s strengths, challenges, and individual learning style.
