Hello! I’m so excited to learn with you! My name is Mrs. Hernandez, and I am a bilingual-certified elementary teacher with four years of experience working with students in both lower and upper elementary grades. One of my favorite things about teaching is finding ways to connect what we are learning to real-life situations that make sense and feel meaningful. I truly believe that everyone learns differently, and that is something I love about teaching! We will take the time to navigate our lessons in a way that helps you feel comfortable, confident, and successful. My goal is to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where you feel supported, excited to ask questions, and proud of your progress. We will work together, celebrate your strengths, and build the skills and confidence you need along the way. I can't wait to help you learn!
Teacher Specialization
I have been an elementary school teacher for the past 4 years. During my first two years as an educator, I taught students in multiple elementary grade levels and worked with a variety of subjects. For the past two years, I have specialized in teaching 3rd grade Reading and Social Studies. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and am certified in the Science of Teaching Reading (STR) and Bilingual Education in Spanish.
