Alyssa is dedicated to inspiring students as a tutor, creating collaborative personalized strategies supporting growth towards goals, engaging critical thinkers, raising academic achievement, and igniting student passion to have a lifelong love for learning in order to share their talents to embrace & empower our diverse community. Alyssa compassionately connects with each student individually creating person centered planning tailoring tutoring sessions to students specialized instructional needs with supportive team strategies. Meaningful continuous feedback is essential to ensure continued progress and growth with valuing collaboration as a team. Creating personalized goals supporting executive functioning critical, creative thinking skills, life, and career skills with team social emotional authentic learning supports student growth and academic excellence.
Teacher Specialization
Alyssa Parrillo has 15 years of teaching experience in special education and inclusive general education in Preschool-8th grade levels. Alyssa engages in virtual special education teaching advancing 4 years. Alyssa holds a bachelor’s degree from Aurora University with certification in Elementary & Special Education. Alyssa also holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education. Alyssa specializes in personalized learning tailoring lessons to student needs in a variety of subject areas with experience educating exceptional diverse students of various eligibilities inclusively Special Education, English Language Learners, and Gifted Students as a Learning Behavior Specialist in English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Alyssa is also an LEA advocate for students' Individualized Education Plans. Alyssa utilizes a variety of divergent instructional strategies to meet unique needs of students integrating team approaches.
