Bio
Hi, my name is Amanda Hammock. Throughout my educational career, I have worked with students across a wide range of ages, abilities, and learning styles, including those with diverse learning needs. I believe every student can succeed when instruction is personalized, encouraging, and engaging. My teaching philosophy centers on meeting students where they are, building their confidence, and helping them develop the skills they need to become independent learners. My favorite part of teaching is witnessing those "light bulb" moments when a concept finally clicks and students discover they are capable of more than they imagined. Creating a positive, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and celebrating progress is at the heart of everything I do.
Teacher Specialization
I bring over 20 years of teaching experience, a Master's degree in Education, and certification in Early Childhood and Special Education. I have teaching experience in grades Pre-K through 12th grade, including all subjects within these grades. My absolute favorite subject to teach is math! I specialize in online teaching and tutoring, providing individualized instruction that helps students strengthen foundational skills while building confidence. I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring students in virtual learning environments, using interactive tools and personalized strategies to keep learners engaged and motivated. My background in Early Childhood and Special Education allows me to adapt lessons to meet each student's unique needs, whether they need extra support, enrichment, or accommodations. I have worked with students in one-on-one and small-group settings across multiple subjects, always focusing on clear communication, positive encouragement, and measurable growth.
