Bio
Hello! I am an accomplished teacher of seven years experience with success in positive classroom culture, student motivation, and increasing literacy scores. My personal philosophy of teaching includes active learning through collaborative learning and culturally responsive teaching. My students feel supported and cared for, and this allows them to succeed in gaining confidence in the skills they are needing. As an educator, I am passionate about utilizing data to inform instruction and develop lessons with engaging content that include active learners and academic rigor. Outside of my professional career, I enjoy going cycling on my Peloton bike, walking in nature, going coffee tasting, and enjoying time with my family.
Teacher Specialization
This fall of 2023 will be my 8th year as a teacher. I have experience teaching in brick & mortar, and almost three years as an online teacher. My experience has taken me to teach students in both private and public school settings, which has also challenged me in the way I deliver lessons to diverse groups of students. I have previous online tutoring experience as well. Family feedback from my previous tutoring sessions has always been of positive and delightful experiences.
