Bio
Hello, my name is Amber Proctor! I love traveling and spending time at the lake. I have been married for 20 years to my husband, Rex, and we have 2 dogs, June and Jolene. In my high school classroom I had a strong commitment to preparing students with practical life skills. My main goal was to prepare students for real world success. I aimed for my students to leave confident and capable of navigating adulthood. In addition to my work at the high school level, I most recently served as an elementary reading interventionist, which was most like a tutor. I worked with small groups of students, as well as one on one, to help build strong literacy foundations. I believe early intervention and individualized support can transform a child's academic path. My teaching philosophy is simple: I believe every student deserves to be cared for, supported, and challenged. I strive to create an environment where students feel valued and encouraged.
