Bio
Hello! I am so excited about starting this journey with you. I am passionate about teaching and learning and am a life-long learner myself. My life experiences have proven that every child can learn any subject given proper resources and time. As such, I have not only taught classes but offered opportunities outside for additional support. Our goal will be to ensure that you leave more confident by the end of the lesson than when you started and can explain your learning. Class will be engaging through interaction and inquiry. I love asking questions to learn more about my students. Students are encouraged to ask questions to provide any clarity they may need. When I am not tutoring, I like to read, dance, and spend time with my family.
Teacher Specialization
I am a former corporate finance and risk manager who switched to education. I have taught for over 25 years mostly as a Secondary Math teacher 6-12 (six yrs in CCPS). I also taught all subjects grades 3rd-7th at a private school. I have taught in the states of TX, VA, MA, MD and FL. As a certified ESL teacher, I have supported student language acquisition in all subjects K-12. I am a lifelong learner who has a BS in Bus Admn, an MS in EdL, an MBA in Arts Mgmt, and an MDIV in Theology.
