Bio
I have taught science for 14 years, and taught online since 2014. I make science exciting and meaningful to students. I enjoy explaining the "why" of learning. I'd like my students to learn to enjoy science and know how it fits into their lives now and as adults. Learning to critically evaluate information is a key to being a successful human. Building relationships with students is half the fun of teaching. The other half is seeing the "aha" moments when a student "gets" something for the first time. Hi! I'm Amy. I enjoy everything about the outdoors, hiking, swimming, and camping. Traveling is my number one priority. Teaching has always been in me. I've been teaching since I was two, when I held school for my stuffed animals, including writing lesson plans and creating worksheets for them.
