Bio
Hi, I am Ms. Castillo. I am a high school teacher at TVAH and I am so happy to have found my home with K12. I believe that every student has unique strengths, abilities, and learning styles. As an educator, it is my responsibility to create a personalized approach to teaching that caters to the individual needs of each student. I strive to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation, collaboration, and creativity. I emphasize the development of critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and a lifelong love for learning. I encourage students to ask questions, explore different perspectives, and think independently. I believe that education goes beyond memorization and encourages students to apply their knowledge to real-world situations, fostering a deeper understanding and long-term retention of information. Teacher Specialization
I have been involved in the field of education for 4 years, working with students across various grade levels and content areas. I have taught students from middle school to high school levels, with a particular focus on Social Studies. I have also worked with students in exam preparation, including STAAR testing. s a tutor, I believe in adopting a student-centered approach that emphasizes individualized attention and tailoring instruction to the unique learning styles of each student.
