Bio
Hello, there! My name is Angela. I am a tutor with diverse hobbies! I especially love crochet and cooking. My background in special education gave me the values of patience and learning more about each student's unique learning style. I aim to provide feedback that is mostly positive, yet also helps students grow. Students that work with me will also benefit from improved critical thinking skills. My background in philosophy allows me to teach how to ask tough questions, leading to lifelong critical thinking skills! I love to get to know students, especially their learning styles and individual interests. Building a relationship with my students is very important to their academic growth.
Teacher Specialization
I have 5 years experience in education. I have worked as a middle school ESE ELA Inclusion Teacher and also have experience online tutoring. I hold a degree in Philosophy and am currently in graduate school for school psychology at the Educational Specialist level. I have worked with many students with special needs and tutored english language learners who primarily speak Spanish. I have also completed a college practicum in spanish teaching. I hold an active teaching certification in Elementary Education K-6 and Special Education K-12.
