Bio
Hi! My name is Angela Furton and I live on a small hobby farm with my family. We have chickens, ducks, and a few too many dogs. We enjoy being surrounded by nature. I love being a special education teacher and helping students to find success. I believe that all children deserve the opportunity to learn in the way that best suits their needs. All children have different learning styles, and it is our privilege, as educators, to find the strategy that helps children succeed.
Teacher Specialization
I have been in education since 2016. I have my dual teaching certification in special education, as well as elementary education. I have worked with children in all age ranges, from kindergarten to 12th grade. I have experience as a Title 1 Reading Interventionist in the public school system for elementary students. I have also worked as a Special Education teacher for 6 years, and my focus has always been helping students fill learning gaps in reading, math, and writing.
