Bio
Hi, I’m Ann—a student-centered educator who believes learning should be personalized, empowering, and emotionally attuned. I use scaffolding and flexible strategies to meet each learner where they are, helping them build confidence, curiosity, and independence. My tutoring goals go beyond academics: I aim to foster resilience, self-awareness, and a love of learning. I create a calm, responsive environment where students feel safe to ask questions, take risks, and grow. Building strong relationships is key to my approach—I take time to understand each student’s strengths, challenges, and interests, offering consistent encouragement and thoughtful feedback. Every learner deserves to feel seen and supported, and I’m here to make that happen.
Teacher Specialization
I have over 10 years of experience teaching K–12 students in math, reading, and financial literacy, with 5 years dedicated to personalized tutoring. I hold a Master’s degree in Teaching and have taught in both in-person and virtual settings, adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs. My virtual experience includes designing engaging, accessible instruction across grade levels. I specialize in student-centered learning, scaffolding, and multisensory strategies—especially for neurodivergent learners. My background in civil engineering also informs my practical, real-world approach to teaching. Areas of focus include foundational math, phonics, executive functioning, and cross-curricular integration.
