Bio
I believe all students can learn math and achieve their educational goals. I am excited to partner with you in increasing your math ability in a positive, engaging, and supportive way. During our sessions, I will provide immediate feedback and scaffolded steps to correct any misunderstandings. I build relationships with students by staying positive, keeping our sessions student-centered, and learning each student's unique abilities.
Teacher Specialization
I have worked for 19 years as a teacher of students of all abilities and strengths, ranging from 6th grade math-12th grade math. Courses taught include middle school math, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, algebra 2, consumer math, personal finance, and pre-calculus. I have a BA and MA in math education and am a National Board Certified Teacher so I bring a broad scope of experience to best help you reach full math understanding. I specialize in targeted instruction with necessary interventions and scaffolding to increase student achievement. I have taught online, brick and mortar, home and virtual tutoring so I am experienced and ready to help all students. I am excited to help all students learn math in a way that challenges and grows their creativity, critical thinking, and analyzing skills.
