Bio
I believe that students learn best through differentiated, individualized, and engaging instruction. Most importantly, kids learn through FUN! By getting to know my students and building a strong rapport, I can incorporate the humor, interests, and strategies that motivate them best! Immediate, gentle, and useful feedback will be provided to enhance understanding. Through online tutoring, it is my goal to increase each child's love of learning while increasing their capacity for understanding challenging content, mastering necessary skills, and developing key competencies for success both in and out of the classroom! Each session, your child will feel cared about, supported, and encouraged. I am originally an NYC native, now on the sunny coast of South Carolina. Along with my 2 toddlers, we love to explore and learn from the world around us. I am looking forward to inspiring and encouraging students through virtual tutoring!
Teacher Specialization
I have 13 years of experience teaching diverse learners from Pre-K through 6th grade. I have founded early-childhood programs and served as a Model Teacher, recognized for exemplary practice and innovation. My expertise spans across content areas and grade levels--including literacy, math, ESOL--through differentiated, student-centered learning. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Childhood (Elementary) Education, and History. I also earned a Master's Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and Linguistics!
