Bio

I hold a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Multiple Subject Teaching, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, a Mild/Moderate Support Needs Special Education Credential, and a Master of Education from UCSB. Throughout my career, I have worked with diverse groups of students across a range of ages, learning styles, and ability levels. These experiences have shaped my belief in the importance of building strong relationships and using differentiated instruction to support each student’s social, behavioral, and academic growth. I strive to make learning meaningful by connecting new concepts to students’ lived experiences, helping knowledge feel relevant and lasting. I am committed to creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel comfortable sharing their perspectives and know their voices are valued. While I maintain high academic expectations, I also provide the support and scaffolding students need to meet those standards.

Teacher Specialization

I have experience supporting students in grades K–7th across language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and the arts. My teaching background spans elementary, middle, and special education settings, with a strong focus on meeting the needs of diverse learners. As a Special Education Teacher, I provided instruction in all subject areas while developing individualized supports aligned to IEP goals, often working with students in small groups or one-on-one to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. In general education classrooms, I designed and delivered student-centered, standards-aligned lessons across multiple subjects. I regularly used differentiated instruction, scaffolding strategies, and varied assessments to support a wide range of learners, while emphasizing hands-on, engaging activities. My classroom structures often included small group instruction and rotations to maximize student learning and participation.
