Bio
Hello! My name is Ashley Copacia, and I am currently a 6th grade reading interventionist. This is my 8th year teaching middle school language arts, and I also have experience teaching elementary grades as well. My passion for teaching keeps my classroom engaging, comfortable for my students, and ultimately a positive learning environment. I believe students learn best when they are active participants in their learning, and this is the approach they will take when entering my classroom. Every student is unique and has their own talents. I will get to know my students as individuals and help find the learning styles that work best for them. I am looking forward to tutoring so that I can help students improve their skills needed within my specified areas.
Teacher Specialization
I have a degree in education, with the ability to teach grades K-8 and a major in language arts. I have worked as a 6th grade reading interventionist for the past 7 years, where I have specialized in working with small groups of students (10 or less at a time) to help them boost their reading and language arts skills. I have also taught grades kindergarten through third grade previously, as both an elementary reading interventionist as well as an elementary classroom teacher.
