Hi, I'm Dr. Belynda Pinkston I'm a native Floridian, who loves all things Disney! My hobbies include, traveling, reading and singing! My educational philosophy centers on the belief that ALL students can experience academic success with the personalized instructional support. I strive to meet my students where they are, and provide clear learning goals, real-world connections, and scaffolded practice which will enhance comprehension and confidence. My goal as a tutor is to support students in mastering subject specific skills and concepts, and to improve student performance on assignments and assessments. I build relationships with my students by creating a safe, respectful, and supporting learning environment. I also strive to build trusting relationships with students and their families.
Teacher Specialization
I have over 30 years experience as an educator. I have served as a classroom teacher, high school assistant principal and principal as well as district-level administrative roles. My experience as a virtual instructor include working as a K-5 literacy tutor, and as an adjunct instructor for several universities. I have taught at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level. As a social instructor, I have taught American and World History, Sociology, Civics and American Government. I hold a Bachelors degree in Social Science, and a Masters and Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
