Hi there! I’m Bethany, and I’m thrilled to be part of your learning journey. I believe that education is most impactful when built on a foundation of trust and connection. I love getting to know my students as individuals because when you feel seen and supported, you learn best! When I’m not tutoring, I’m usually with my husband and our three kids. We are a huge sports family, though we’re a 'house divided' when it comes to who we root for, so things stay pretty competitive and fun at home! I bring that same energy and encouragement to my teaching. You aren’t just a student to me; you’re a unique individual with your own strengths. Let’s make learning something to look forward to!

With a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Psychology (specializing in Industrial-Organizational Psychology), I bring a unique perspective to the 'why' and 'how' behind learning, focusing on motivation and personalized growth. Bringing 8 years of experience, I specialize in supporting Elementary and Middle School students in ELA, with a deep focus on Dyslexia Intervention and Special Education. My approach combines evidence-based literacy strategies with personalized support for students with ADHD, Autism, and various learning disabilities. I excel at breaking down complex reading and writing tasks into manageable, 'bite-sized' steps that build confidence and independence. Whether we are working on phonemic awareness, reading comprehension, or structured writing, I adapt every session to meet the students' specific needs and unique learning profiles.
