Bio
Hello! My students like to call me Mrs. A. I became a tutor because I am passionate about helping students succeed and gain confidence in their abilities. I have seen how individualized attention and encouragement can transform a student’s learning journey, especially for those with ADHD or other learning differences. I believe students learn best when they can connect classroom concepts to real-world applications, so I take time to get to know each student and what motivates them. My goals are to keep students engaged and help them build lasting confidence by breaking big tasks, like reading and writing, into smaller, achievable steps. I strive to create a safe, welcoming environment where students feel respected, supported, and included. As a mother of five, I bring both professional expertise and personal experience to my teaching. I love making each day an exciting adventure in learning. Outside the classroom, I enjoy gardening, kayaking, and swimming with my family.
Teacher Specialization
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and have four years of classroom teaching experience. I have taught students in kindergarten through 5th grade, as well as 6th grade in a middle school setting. My teaching background covers all core subject areas, including English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. I will be a strong tutor for your student because of my extensive classroom experience and my ability to adapt instruction to meet the unique needs of each learner. My goal is always to provide supportive, engaging lessons that build confidence and help students succeed.
