Bio
Hello, I’m Brittany! Not only am I a veteran tutor, but I'm also a trained actor and singer! I incorporate my theatrical background into my teaching style by being expressive, high-energy, and engaging. I believe in carefully scaffolding my lessons and providing many opportunities for repetition and review. I also encourage students to reflect on their progress frequently. With all three of these principles in place, students learn to confidently tackle challenges. Seeing them develop an unwavering belief in their abilities is by far the most meaningful part of being a teacher! When I'm not working with students, I love to read, travel, and spend time with family and friends. I look forward to sharing a dynamic and uplifting session with you!

I bring 10 years of experience teaching elementary and middle school students, with a specialty in phonics instruction, reading comprehension skills, and working with ESL/ELL learners. Having conducted hundreds of virtual sessions, I know what works online and how to keep students genuinely engaged through the screen!
