Bio

My name is Caitlin Gustavel, and I am so excited to potentially be your academic tutor. To tell you a little bit about myself, I am a teacher, wife, and mom to two toddlers fun-loving toddlers. I love to cook, hike, camp, play Pickleball, and hang out at our family`s farm. On the weekends, we spend most of our free time taking care of our chickens, dogs, 2 donkeys, and 50 cows... Yes, I said cows! We have a family cattle farm with about 50 Black Angus cows right below our house. We also have an RV that we love to take camping on holiday breaks! My true life`s passion is teaching and learning alongside my wonderful students. I believe that students learn best in an engaging and academically challenging environment. I think this is achieved by making learning student-led, and most of all FUN. It is my joy to help students find success and passion in their academic journey. I can not wait to meet you and I look forward to being your tutor!

Teacher Specialization

I am in my 8th year of teaching as a K-5 Elementary teacher. I spent my first two years of teaching in a brick-and-mortar classroom. I have spent the last 6 as a full-time virtual teacher. In my time as a virtual teacher, I have served as a third-grade math teacher as well as a Reading and Math Academic Intervention Specialist (AIS.) In my role as an AIS, I meet students exactly where they are and develop a plan of action to help them get to where they are expected to be academically.
