Bio
Hello! My name is Carolyn, and I am a passionate Special Education teacher who loves helping learners build confidence and a strong foundation in reading, writing and math. I am currently teaching in a classroom, where I work every day to make learning engaging, hands-on and fun. I specialize in supporting students as they develop important skills such as phonics, reading comprehension, number sense, and other math concepts. During tutoring sessions, I will use games, visuals, and interactive activities to keep students engaged while strengthening their academic skills. My goal is to meet each child where they are and help them grow through encouragement, patience, and creative learning activities. I love working with diverse learners and helping them build the confidence in the skills that they have and watching them soar.
Teacher Specialization
I am currently working in a pre-K classroom helping little learners master basic concepts. However with my diverse background of teaching experience including special education I specialize in supporting students with foundational skills. I have been teaching for 15 years in various roles. I have a masters in special education and have taught pre-k-12th grade. In addition, I have worked outside of the country helping students learn those basic foundational skills.
