Bio
Hi! I’m Ms. Cathy, and I believe students learn best in a positive, supportive environment where instruction is tailored to their individual needs. I use modeling, guided practice, and hands-on learning, while providing meaningful feedback that builds confidence, independence, and growth. My goal is to help students develop curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking while experiencing the excitement of mastering new skills. Building genuine relationships with students is central to my approach, and I strive to meet each student where they are and support their individual goals. I especially enjoy working with children and sharing in those magical moments when learning comes alive. Some of my personal interests include reading (I love children’s books!), hiking, and birdwatching. Let’s learn together!

I have been an elementary classroom teacher for 22 years and an elementary school librarian for 12 years. I've worked with a variety of students and have multiple certifications including Special Education, Spanish, Bilingual, Elementary, Early Childhood, and School Librarian.
