Bio
Hi! I'm Charlyn, and I believe every student can learn. I help them discover that for themselves. I'm really good at making learning fun and meaningful by tapping into each student's interests to build motivation and increase participation. I take the time to get to know how each student thinks and what makes them tick, which helps me create a space where they feel safe taking risks, asking questions, and trying again when something doesn't click the first time. Students need multiple opportunities to learn and practice new material, and I'm patient and encouraging every step of the way. My goal is to help students develop persistence, resilience, and problem-solving skills they can carry into everyday life whether it's building with Legos, persevering through sports, or trying something brand new. There is no losing, just learning!

I have taught every grade from pre-K to seniors in high school, in both in-person and virtual settings, and I specialize in middle school math and science, with a strong emphasis on reading, writing, and study skills. I have been tutoring virtually since 2020 and am so happy I get to do it every day!
