Bio
Hi! I'm Charlyn, and I was a classroom teacher for 20 years. I have been tutoring virtually since 2020, and have seen tremendous gains in my students’ progress when we meet 1:1 on a consistent basis. Students who have had difficulty in the school setting often thrive with me in the virtual setting because I meet them where they are at without judgement. A previous tutoring student once told me, “I have learned more in the past 2 weeks that I have in the past 3 school years combined.” I hope to build that same connection and make a profound impact in your child’s math, study, and test prep skills. My goal is to help students develop persistence, resilience, and problem-solving skills they can carry into the real world.
Teacher Specialization
I have taught every grade from pre-K to seniors in high school, in both in-person and virtual settings, and I specialize in middle school math and science, with a strong emphasis on reading, writing, and study skills. I have been tutoring virtually since 2020 and am so happy I get to do it every day!
