Bio
I believe students learn best when they are having fun and can personally connect with their learning. I provide engaging activities and love to celebrate every win, big and small. I believe all kids are capable of success. No exceptions! My primary goal is to raise students' confidence by taking a strengths-based approach in learning and teaching. I believe in productive struggle, which leads to deeper thinking and increased confidence. My commitment to growth and success includes assessing growth, providing empowering feedback, and making adjustments based on assessments results. I believe success begins with building meaningful relationships first. When students feel safe, seen, and heard, they're more likely to engage and take more risks in their learning. Different students learn in different way and I adjust my tutoring approaches to meet students' needs. I'm an educator, creator, wife, and mommy. I love all thing chocolate, purple, and cozy!
Teacher Specialization
I have a Masters of Art in Teaching. I've taught in inclusive classrooms and have worked closely with students of diverse learning abilities, including those with IEPs and multilingual learners. I have 5+ years of teaching experience in 1st-4th grades, in all content areas. I also have experience in teaching success skills in grades K-8th! My teaching experience includes both in-person and virtual settings.
