Welcome! I am a retired math teacher with 40 years of experience. I love teaching math and helping students reach their goals. I believe all students can master mathematics. If you goal is to-- Pass your math course or Pass high stakes tests or Ace your math course or Really understand math or All of the above! Then my goal is to help you reach your goals! My sessions are interactive and confidence building. My goal is that each student will become confident in his or her abilities in mathematics and will desire to continue his or her mathematics learning. I pride myself on filling gaps in math knowledge and helping students to move beyond basic memorization. You will feel supported and encouraged in your learning!
Teacher Specialization
I have over 40 years of mathematics teaching and tutoring. I have 7 years of middle school teaching (6th/7th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry). I have 29 years of high school teaching (Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, TSI, Financial Literacy). I have 10 years of University teaching (College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Developmental Math). I have 7 years of in-person and on-line tutoring (PSAT Prep, Geometry, Algebra 2). I have had great success providing help with students who struggle with math- my goal is for all students to understand and appreciate mathematics. I have a proven track record of preparing students for high stakes testing. I have also been successful with students who struggle with mathematics. My students have told me they now understand -and like- mathematics!
