I have the ability to communicate complex information in a simple and entertaining manner. Work to deepen students' knowledge of the English language through reading, writing and speaking. Spend time choosing reading material for students and preparing assignments and discussion topics. Lesson plans designed with state standards, ELPS, data, and real world application in mind to help students meet educational goals. Offer diverse learning styles, to meet the needs of all learners. Builds strong relationships with students and parents. Interact with parents to talk about academic success and areas of growth.

Teacher Specialization

My passion is working with students who learn outside the box for over 25 years. Work significantly with students to help in specific reading skills such as phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension strategies. Addressing specific needs of individual students by designing techniques of learning that are most appropriate for each student. Create engaging interventions along with writing lesson plans, detailing methods, and materials. Adjusted instruction if assessments indicate no progress.
