Bio
Hi! My name is Colby Presley, and I’m a certified educator with over 12 years of experience working with elementary students in both lower and upper grade levels. I’ve taught and supported students with everything from learning foundational reading skills to improving comprehension, writing, fluency, and confidence in more advanced reading. What makes me stand out as a tutor is that I truly personalize learning for each child. I know that every student learns differently, so I make lessons engaging, encouraging, and targeted to their specific needs. Whether your child is struggling, needs extra support, or is ready to be challenged and advanced, my goal is to help them grow academically while building confidence along the way. Parents can expect strong communication, patience, and a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and celebrating progress. I’m excited to partner with families and help students succeed!
Teacher Specialization
I have spent over a decade and counting working with elementary students in both lower and upper grade levels. Throughout my career, I’ve taught reading and language arts, supported struggling learners, and helped students build confidence in the classroom. I’ve also worked as an instructional coach, where I supported and trained teachers on effective reading instruction and student engagement strategies. I’m passionate about helping students grow into confident, successful readers. I love creating fun, supportive learning environments where students feel encouraged to ask questions, take risks, and celebrate their progress. Now I get the opportunity to support students virtually through tutoring, and I’m excited to help your child strengthen their reading skills, grow academically, and gain confidence along the way!
