Bio
I am an international inclusion support teacher with a wide array of teaching experience in the US, UAE and Philippine classrooms for 10 years. I also have 15 years of tutoring experience with focus on middle school and high school content. I specialize in scaffolded and modified middle school and high school Math and English, with other varying content areas as a result of flexibility and nature of the inclusion expertise. I worked in international schools and taught in the United States in the public school, progressive school and private special education and inclusion programs. Back in 2018, I was a coach and trainer for regional and national journalism competitions and the official coach of the merit awardee team in the International Science Drama Competition. I am an alumni fellow of a Teach For All network from 2017-2019. My years of experience molded my inclusive teaching approach that every learner deserves an advocate who will listen and mold the child in his optimum level.
Teacher Specialization
I finished a Bachelor’s in Secondary Education major in Special Education and minor in Communication Arts in English. Throughout my years of experience, I was trained to teach in a Learning Support and Specialized Learning Support programs, with five(or more) years of teaching middle school and high school Math programs — Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Probability and Statistics, and Personal Finance curricula. I also provide numeracy and reading intervention programs to adolescents and adults. During my free schedule, I mentor and coach for Praxis subjects for pre-service teachers or those taking teacher certification programs. I am also adept in online/virtual teaching, having an experience of building an online training program for 5000 people during the pandemic period using a learning management system.
