Bio
My name is Cynthia Knobles. As a classroom teacher and tutor with 40 years of experience, I have worked with students of all levels of learning. My teaching philosophy includes helping students turn "I don't get it" into "I've got this." I believe every student can learn when concepts are broken down clearly and students feel supported in the process. I focus on making lessons engaging and breaking down difficult material into smaller steps so students can build confidence and experience success. My goal is to not only help students master content but also to encourage critical thinking and a lifelong love of learning while having fun along the way. I build strong relationships with my students by showing genuine interest in their lives and celebrating their progress. I also help students feel valued and supported by providing patience, encouragement, and respect in every interaction.
Teacher Specialization
As a teacher with a BA in Elementary Education with a Math specialization, I have taught grades 3-8 in the regular classroom in the areas of Math, Reading, and Writing for 35 years. When I retired from teaching public school, I missed helping young people learn and soon found online tutoring which I have enjoyed for the past five years for students in grades 1-8 for all subject areas.
