Bio
Hi my name is Mrs. Sheckler and I am excited to meet you! I believe every student has the ability to learn and that they all learn in different ways. It is my job as a teacher to differentiate my instruction to meet those needs and create impactful engaging lessons. I always have high expectations for my students and motivate them to want to learn and be the best person they can be. Every student has the potential to achieve great things is they are pushed, engaged, and guided in the right way! They key to helping a student learn is to build relationships with them to make them want to learn and be in class with you. It is always beneficial to relate to them and build bonds with them all while having fun! I am a wife and mom of 5 beautiful children. We live on a farm with chickens, goats, turkeys, dogs, and cats. I love staying busy and bringing my knowledge of the farm into my lessons with my students. I am always upbeat and excited to learn. Education has always been my passion!
Teacher Specialization
I have 13 years of experience teaching students with various disabilities, gifted students, ADHD, EL students, and many more. I have a lot of experience with virtual teaching as well, since I was teaching during Covid. On the side of teaching, I have also done a lot of virtual tutoring on different platforms. I am certified in Elementary Education, Exceptional Students, and Math grades 5-9. I also have my Reading and ESOL Endorsements. During my teaching career I have been recognized as a High Impact Teacher for the growth my students made on their standardized tests. I was a Teacher and Math Coach, as well as a Team Lead, Curriculum Designer, and a part of the Data Team.
