Bio
Hello! My name is Denise Duren. I currently live in Georgia and have had the opportunity to travel throughout the United States with my husband and family during his military career. We have two wonderful children who are now adults. Throughout my years as a classroom teacher, I have worked with students who have a wide range of learning styles and educational needs. I am passionate about creating a supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically, build confidence, and develop their unique strengths. My goal is to help each student discover the learning strategies that work best for them while fostering a genuine love of learning and empowering them to achieve academic success. Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling, spending quality time with my family, and exploring creative hobbies such as arts and crafts.
Teacher Specialization
My teaching experience comes from my 18 years of teaching in the elementary education in 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades, as well as serving as an elementary art teacher. My primary areas of expertise include mathematics, science, and language arts. I am currently a licensed elementary teacher in Georgia. For the past five years, I have taught in a virtual learning environment, providing engaging, high-quality instruction to diverse learners. Prior to online education, I taught in both the public and private school settings, gaining valuable experience adapting instruction to meet the needs of students in a variety of educational environments. My experience as an elementary teacher has also allowed me to incorporate creativity and hands-on learning strategies into my instruction, as well as, helping students build confidence, critical thinking skills, and a love of learning.
