Bio
Hi! My name is Elisa Garza. I believe every student can succeed when instruction is clear, supportive, and adapted to their learning style. My goal is to help students build confidence while strengthening their academic skills. I focus on breaking down challenging concepts into manageable steps and creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I enjoy helping students develop the skills they need to become more independent and successful learners. My goal during tutoring sessions is to help students feel capable, supported, and proud of their progress.
Teacher Specialization
I have over 13 years of experience working in education with a focus on supporting diverse learners. My experience is primarily with upper elementary students, particularly in grades 4-6. I support students in core subjects such as reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. I specialize in working with students who benefit from additional support and structure, including students with ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, and English Learners. I use strategies that help students stay engaged, understand concepts step-by-step, and build confidence in their abilities.
