Bio
Hello! My name is Elisabeth and I am excited to be your tutor. I am passionate about providing all learners the opportunity to be curious, develop a strong growth mindset, and challenge themselves. While I tutor in a variety of content areas, I most enjoy teaching Math and Science. I believe that building strong relationships and knowing my learners provides them with the opportunity to take risks and develop the skills for lifelong learning. In my free time, I enjoy playing pickleball, kickball, and softball. I love to read Suspense/Thriller novels and have set a goal to read a book a month this year. I have travelled to 7 countries and can't wait to do more exploring! I look forward to meeting you!
Teacher Specialization
I am a graduate of the University of Minnesota, where I received my Master's of Education. I have been a 5th grade teacher in Minneapolis for four years. I have experience in Math, Science, ELA, and Social Studies. I have taught at two magnet schools: Dowling Urban Environmental Magnet and Ella Baker Global Studies and Humanities Magnet where I was an Equity and Social-Emotional Learning lead and team lead. I developed lessons and learning experiences with an emphasis on Project Based Learning.
