Hi! Are you excited to have a great time during tutoring sessions? My name is Mrs. Berman and I have been a teacher for the past seventeen years. I am here to help you in any way that I can! I believe all students can learn and I strive to find the approach to meet individual needs. I am here to build confidence, boost self-esteem and guide you in every way possible! We will tackle learning together with many resources and time to practice. I look forward to working with you during tutoring sessions!
Teacher Specialization
I have been a classroom teacher for fifteen years and I have tutored online for the past two years. I taught kindergarten in the Bronx and in Manhattan, working in general education and inclusion classrooms. I taught first grade English Language learners for two years. I then taught first grade special education for one year and then I moved up to the fourth grade reading specialist for six years. Lastly, I tutored reading online for the past two years where I provided tier three intervention. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education and in addition I have a Master's Degree in Reading.
