Bio
Hello! I am very excited to introduce myself. I am a patient and empathetic individual with a passion for helping students develop academic confidence and a love for learning. My teaching philosophy centers around creating a safe space where students feel comfortable participating, making mistakes, asking questions, helping others, and growing at their own pace. After seeing a need for additional math support among language learners. I developed and implemented several math intervention classes for students who were more than 4 years behind. This leads to my passion for helping all students succeed.
Teacher Specialization
I have been teaching for 17 years: 15 years in a classroom and 2 years virtually. I am certified to teach K-12 English as a Second Language, Elementary Education K-8, and Middle Level Mathematics through Algebra. I have extensive experience working with all levels of language learners, with a specialization in Newcomers and Math Intervention.
