Bio
Hello! I’m a dedicated educator with a B.S. in Education (EC-6th) with an ESL endorsement and an M.S. in Educational Psychology from the University of North Texas. My teaching philosophy is rooted in my psychology background: I focus on the "whole child," creating a supportive environment where students feel safe to take risks. I believe that when we understand how a student processes information, we can unlock their true potential. A career highlight for me has been helping English Language Learners achieve growth. I have also been recognized for my student's growth in i-Ready scores. My teaching personality is patient, encouraging, and highly adaptive. I bring a calm, structured energy to every session, ensuring that whether we are working on core literacy or complex problem-solving, my students feel both challenged and deeply capable.
Teacher Specialization
My teaching background is rooted in Elementary Education (EC-6th), with a specialization in creating inclusive, high-growth learning environments. Over the past two years, I have taught 3rd grade, where I focused on delivering core curriculum, small-group interventions, and fostering a positive classroom culture. My ESL endorsement allows me to effectively scaffold lessons, ensuring that complex concepts in Literacy and Math are accessible to all learners. Prior to my current role, I spent a year as a Substitute Teacher, which included a long-term maternity leave assignment. This experience was pivotal, as it required me to maintain instructional continuity for several months, manage full-day transitions, and build immediate rapport with a consistent group of students. This professional experience is backed by several years of intensive student teaching, where I developed a strong foundation in classroom management and diverse instructional strategies.
