Bio
Hi there! I’m a long-time educator with experience teaching everyone from kindergartners to college students preparing to become teachers. Teaching is truly a family passion—my husband is a teacher, my oldest daughter is finishing her teaching degree, and my youngest is already thinking about becoming one too! I believe students learn best through exploration, discussion, and collaboration. I focus on what each learner does well and give clear, specific feedback to help them grow without feeling overwhelmed. My goal is to build both skills and confidence by focusing on students’ strengths and helping them believe in themselves. I value reflection, acceptance, and making every student feel valued. Outside of teaching, my family and I love going to music and sporting events and traveling together. I’d love to help your learner grow, feel confident, and enjoy learning!

I love helping students feel confident and excited about learning—especially online! With eight years of experience teaching virtual classes for future teachers and leading statewide virtual professional learning, I know how to make online sessions engaging and effective. I have 26 years of experience and am licensed to teach elementary school, middle school English Language Arts, and middle school Social Studies. I've also supported students with middle school math and high school English. I believe every learner can succeed with the right mix of encouragement, clear guidance, and meaningful practice. Whether learners needs a boost in confidence, extra support, or an academic challenge, I’ll meet them where they are and help them shine.
