Bio
I am Ermil, a trained Secondary Math teacher with more than a decade of teaching experience from Middle School to Senior high school. I believe in making math as easy to understand as possible by using concepts familiar to my students and their everyday life. I always try to be thorough in discussing concepts but also provide tips and shortcuts whenever possible without sacrificing the mathematical basis of these. In all, my goal is to make my students appreciate math and mitigate their doubts of being able to do it themselves.
Teacher Specialization
I am a trained secondary teacher, with a degree in Secondary Teaching major in Mathematics and minor in Physics. I have experience in teaching Middle School (6-8) and High School (9-12) in the United States and the Philippines. I have 7 years experience of teaching (8th grade Math - Philippines and the United States), and 4 years of Senior High School Math - which includes teaching Algebra, Geometry, Statistics and Probability, Pre-Calculus, Basic Calculus, and some College Algebra. During the pandemic, I delivered Senior High School level lessons via Teams, full virtual mode along with creating materials suitable for this environment as part of my job description as Mathematics Head.
