Bio

I am a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated teacher who enjoys cooking, working-out, dancing, Taekwondo, history, and reading. As a teacher and tutor, with over a decade and a-half of experience, I've had the good fortune of having had many one-on one and small group instructional opportunities with multiples of varied students with different learning styles and academic abilities. In addition, to my career in education I spent almost two decades in the technology field (facilitating the incorporation of technology to differentiate delivery and assessment of instruction). All students can learn, but motivation is key. I will help students fill the gaps and connect prior knowledge to new knowledge and experience. They will understand that learning isn't restricted to the classroom (virtual or brick-and mortar) but is a life-long activity. Education, especially one-on one, is based on developing a positive relationship between tutor and students.

Teacher Specialization

Special Education Teacher (Standard Certificate) with fifteen years experience, in kindergarten to eighth grade schools (Standard Certificate in Grades K-5). Taught in the classroom, small group and one-one instruction (in person and remotely). I have my Masters of Education Curriculum and Learning, Teaching Children Math. I taught primarily middle school math and ELA throughout my teaching and tutoring career. In addition, I had experience in the elementary grades (kindergarten through 4th).
