Bio
My name is Ms. Jacalyn. My teaching philosophy centers on a student- focused classroom where I recognize and value diverse learning styles. All students learn differently and my goal over the last three decades has been to find unique ways to reach every learner. I believe educators must move beyond simply delivering content to ensuring genuine mastery. It is my goal to identify individual learning styles and adapt my instruction accordingly. I tailor each of my lessons to meet students where they are, teaching them to be proactive problem solvers and self advocates. By incorporating real world, open ended problems, I help students make meaningful connections between curriculum and their own lives.

I have been in education for 34 years teaching both high school and middle school. I have taught English, Literacy, Speech, and Driver's Education. I am have experience teaching both in person and virtually. I am certified to teach K-12 Literacy, K-12 English, and Driver's Education. I have experience with students at all levels and all disabilities.
