Hello, hello! I'm Jaimie I'm from Southern West Virginia where I have spent my entire teaching career. I truly believe we're all capable of learning and doing amazing things! My hope with tutoring, is to make students feel confident in their academic performance. With building positive and meaningful relationships, we'll set personal goals and make a plan to reach those. Fun fact: I love to read and write books. I love to look for the bright side in the smallest of details.
Teacher Specialization
I have a Masters Degree in Elementary Education and am specialized in Special Education (grades K-12). I also hold an Autism teacher endorsement for grades K-12. Through my teaching career I have taught: 2nd grade (all core academic subjects), 5th grade (ELA, Social Studies, and Science), 6th grade (ELA), 7th grade (ELA), 8th grade (ELA), 11th grade (ELA), and 12th grade (ELA). I have worked one-on-one with Autistic students to meet their personal IEP goals in social skills and managing behaviors. I am in my first year of teaching virtually (2nd unofficial if you consider 2020 a year of experience). I am a lover of technology and its tools!
