Bio
Aloha, everyone; I am super excited to tutor you. I have a lot of strategies and engaging activities for students to understand better what they need to learn in ELA, math, social studies, and science. My favorite methods are drawing out your thinking, sharing with a partner, and intensely discussing the topics. I also like using multimedia to help students engage, and I have a lot of tips for student success. I have many excellent assessment tools to help you better understand how you learn, what you need to know, and how to get better grades and test scores. I have been teaching for 25 years. I have been awarded the best team player award while teaching in China at an international school. I have my master's in education. My teaching style is to build a professional and practical relationship with all my students. I want to know what my students think. My goal as your tutor is to help support you academically and in non-academic ways.

I have been teaching grades K8 virtually/online for the past ten years. I have also taught in the traditional classroom setting for over 25 years. I have worked worldwide as a teacher, principal, whitewater river guide, and USA Women's water polo team player. I look forward to working with all students who need a passionate veteran teacher who loves to integrate the latest strategies to meet their educational needs.
