Bio
I am Mr. Dillard, I come from a family of educators. Which has helped develop my love for education. I enjoy watching anime, teaching, reading, puzzles, music, exercise, cooking, and sports. I have been fortunate to teach groups of diverse learners. I develop individualized learning plans for students. The learning plans are designed with input from the student to increase academic performance, understanding, and mastery. I connect with students by making them feel safe to ask questions, ask for help, make mistakes and learn by doing their best effort. Tutoring goals are fun, detailed, measurable, achievable, and relevant. My students enjoy tutoring because they get to have their voice heard, practice skills aligned to their interests, and have control over how they learn.
Teacher Specialization
My educational experience includes 5 years of working with elementary and middle school students. I have successfully worked with all students, as well as students who have been diagnosed with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Learning Differences, and Behavior challenges. I tutor Science, Math, English, and Social Studies.
