Bio
I am passionate about helping students build confidence and achieve academic success. I believe students learn best through engaging, individualized instruction that meets their unique strengths and needs. I use differentiation, frequent checks for understanding, and meaningful feedback to support academic growth, independence, and critical-thinking skills. I strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking on challenges. Building positive relationships allows me to make learning meaningful and engaging for each student. Outside of education, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my family. I became a tutor because I love helping students recognize their strengths, overcome challenges, and realize their potential.
Teacher Specialization
I specialize in elementary education, with a focus on grades 3–5, including Reading/ELA, Math, and foundational academic skills. I have worked in ESE grades K-2 for 2 years and 3 years in ESE 3-5 grade. I have taught virtually for 1 year. As an ESE educator, I have experience differentiating instruction, closing learning gaps, and supporting students with diverse learning needs. I focus on building strong foundational skills, improving confidence, and using individualized strategies to help each student reach their academic goals. I have taught all subjects in grades K-5, including social and emotional behavior throughout the day. I also implement reading interventions into my daily teaching for students who need extra support in reading!
