Bio
Hi! As a teacher and published author, I believe in the power of words to uplift and inspire. My tutoring style is encouraging and relaxed with a sense of humor, while keeping us on task and learning together. Students in my sessions know that making mistakes is how we learn and grow, and will leave each session feeling encouraged and confident! Sometimes we all need a different way of looking at things to gain understanding, so I work hard to present information in ways that work with individual learning styles. Even on days when a student wants to give up, I can usually find a way to encourage them to keep going and believe in their own ability to learn and reach their full potential for that session. I am looking forward to meeting you and your student!
Teacher Specialization
Licensed/Credentialed Teacher in third, fourth, and fifth grades. I've also virtually taught/tutored as a Reading Specialist and Reading Teacher, and enjoy working with students in this capacity greatly!
