Bio
I believe that every person is different and we all learn in different ways. I want to learn what makes each student successful and use that to ensure that I am providing the best tutoring possible. I have always known that my purpose in life is to help kids. I began as a social worker, then moved into teaching. As a tutor, I will do what it takes to help my students feel comfortable and confident in their education, In my opinion, building relationships with students is the most important part of education. I have always had great relationships with my students and it has really made a positive difference in my students willingness to learn with me. My name is Jennifer, but most people call me Jen. I live In Arkansas and I love watching Razorback football. I am a single mom of 2 teenage daughters. We have 3 Miniature Schnauzers too. I am an animal lover!! In my free time, I usually watch funny animal videos or listen to scary podcasts.
Teacher Specialization
I have taught in a classroom for 17 years and I have tutored virtually for the last 4 years. Most of my experience has been teaching math and history in an onsite classroom, but I have tutored most subjects from grades 3 through college. I was a social worker before becoming a teacher, which helped me to realize that building a relationship with each student is very important.
