Hello! My name is Jennifer, and I am thrilled to bring my 15+ years of experience in elementary and middle school mathematics and science to our virtual classroom. Over the past decade and a half, I have dedicated my career to making math not just understandable, but enjoyable for students of all levels. My teaching philosophy is centered on building a strong conceptual foundation while boosting student confidence. Whether we are tackling foundational arithmetic or diving into the complexities of middle school algebra, I am eager to support your growth and help you reach your academic goals. I believe every student has the potential to succeed in math with the right guidance and encouragement.

With over 15 years of experience in elementary and middle school education, I bring a wealth of expertise in creating engaging, standards-based learning experiences. I graduated from California State University, Hayward with a BA in Liberal Studies. I have taught K-8 Math, Science, and Social Studies in the classroom and for 5 years virtually. My background as a Lead Teacher and an early adopter of the NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) allows me to help students master complex concepts through inquiry-based learning and critical thinking. I specialize in targeted K-8 support by tailoring instruction to meet students where they are, from foundational elementary skills to advanced Junior High curriculum. I believe in a philosophy of Excellence and Community, focusing not just on grades, but on building a student’s confidence and organizational habits.
